An Apprenticeship is a real job with on-site and college-based training to give you the necessary trade skills to succeed.

If you are aged 16 or over, you can complete a fully funded Apprenticeship so the qualification is free to gain. The only thing your employer will need to pay is your wage so you can gain a qualification and earn money at the same time.

For the first year of your Apprenticeship your employer will pay you at least the national minimum wage for a first year apprentice. Once you have completed your first year, the wage will depend on your age. After your first year, if you aged 19 or over your employer will pay you in line with the rate of pay for your age or above. If you are under 19, your employer will pay you £3.90 until you turn 19.

Below is a quote from a learner who completed a course with Coleg QS.

“Thanks for your help and support. I would not hesitate to recommend your courses to any of my work colleagues. All the best for the future.”
