Level 1
This qualification will suit candidates who want an introduction into Floor and Wall Tiling.
In this level you will –
- Prepare and apply tiling materials in the work place
- Prepare tiles for fixing in the workplace
- Conform to general workplace health, safety and welfare in the work place
- Move, handle or store resources in the workplace
Level 2
This qualification is for candidates who work or want to work as floor tillers in the construction industry.
In this level you will be –
- Conforming to General Health, Safety and Welfare in the Workplace
- Conforming to Productive Working Practices in the Workplace
- Laying Under Tile Electrical Heating Systems and Tiling Surfaces in the Workplace
- Moving, Handling and Storing Resources in the Workplace
- Preparing Backgrounds to Receive Wall and/or Floor Tiling in the Workplace
- Slinging and Signalling the Movement of Loads (Secondary Role) in the Workplace
- Tiling Wall and Floor Structures in the Workplace
To complete level 1 and level 2 you must achieve a number of credits from mandatory units and credits from optional units. This will increase as the levels increase.
Assessments are completed in a number of ways including,
- Site observation
- Witness testimony
- Photographic evidence
- Online exams
- Oral question
- Written question and answer
- Professional discussion
